L In my head, 10 PM; in reality, 11:15 PM
A I haven’t gotten to the point of having a regular bed time yet. But if I get in bed at 11 PM, maybe I’m done looking at my phone at like, 12:30 AM… ha!
L I always set my alarm for 8 AM, but I’m a snoozer. 8:20 is more accurate.
A An hour past when my alarm goes off (8 AM) — I’m the WORST snoozer.
L The first thing I do when I wake up is check my email, and then Instagram. I also take my sweet time in the shower—usually 20+ minutes, mostly spent singing along (wildly off-key) to Lauryn Hill or A$AP Rocky—and then I rush like crazy.
It usually takes about an hour from the time my eyes open to the time I’m out the door. The first half hour is pretty lazy and slow, and the second half hour is crazed. Never fails.
A Since a young age, I’ve always hated rushing. I take my time getting ready in the morning, but I’m always running late because of it. I’m a night-showerer in the hopes that this will shorten my morning routine, but I still take forever to style my hair and do my makeup. No shame. There’s a saying, “Never ask a girl with winged eyeliner why she’s late,” and that’s so me.
It takes me about 30 minutes to an hour to get ready, depending on if I do the “short version” or the “long version.” But usually it looks like: brush teeth, wash face, straightener or curling iron, makeup, change outfits 3 times…
L Cliché as it sounds, coffee. Black coffee.
A Hitting snooze!
L I spent a lot of time on my skin-care regimen at night (after a sheet mask, I always use a toner, serum, moisturizer, and then an oil—always), which pays off in the morning: It takes me about three minutes to do my makeup. Any time I skip my nighttime routine & my skin looks sub-par, I end up wasting 15 minutes trying to make it look decent. A more practical answer: decide on an outfit when you’re in the shower.
A Dry shampoo 4 life. I only wash my hair once or twice a week (unless I hit the gym a lot, which is rare).
L More sleep. Always more sleep.
A I would squeeze in making breakfast at home — I love making eggs or having some cereal and coffee at home in the morning, but usually I just don’t have time. More time with my boyfriend would definitely be nice, too.
