How would you describe your morning routine?
Lately I've decided to slow my morning down and allow time to really think about the day ahead. I've gone through too many years of rushing around and being late and forgetting things. Because I have either class or work from 10-6, Tuesday through Friday nowadays, planning really works to my advantage.
How long does it take you to get ready?
I normally budget forty minutes, but sometimes nothing works out and it takes an hour, which totally throws my day off.
What is the one thing in your morning you can't do without?
A glass of water and Queen Helene Mint Julep Scrub.
What does getting ready look like for you?
After a shower, I generally put on my blue flannel robe and then pull things out of my closet. I love spending time in my robe in the morning; it's a moment of respite between more structured "outfits." It helps clear my mind.
Do you plan out your outfits the night before or are you more of a spontaneous morning dresser?
I do a little bit of both. Sometimes it's easy to plan out outfits as I fall asleep. It's my form of counting sheep!
If you had 15 more minutes in the morning, what would you squeeze in?
I'm trying to implement yoga right now by getting up earlier and budgeting my time out and planning my morning, but it just hasn't worked out completely yet. Hopefully, I'll make my way up to yoga and then transcendental meditation. I have a long way to go though.
